White House Report: The Cost of Delaying Action to Stem Climate Change - A new 32-page report from the Council of Economic Advisers that examines the economic consequences of delaying action to stem climate change. The report finds that delaying policy actions by a decade increases total mitigation costs by approximately 40 percent, and failing to take any action would risk substantial economic damage.

EPA Administrator Holding Media Call to Preview Public Hearings on Clean Power Plan - Today, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will discuss the importance of public input on the proposed Clean Power Plan. Next week, there will be four, two-day public hearings in Washington D.C., Atlanta, Denver and Pittsburgh, to give interested parties an opportunity to comment on the proposed rule -- The comment period on the proposal is open until October 16, 2014.
